The River Clyde Pageant

(Technical Director & Collaborator)

In 2016, project founders Ker Wells and Megan Stewart asked me to come to New Glasgow, PEI and collaborate on the River Clyde Pageant. I stayed with the pageant as the Technical Director until 2019, and have remained an avid supporter since. Like many pageant collaborators my jobs were wide ranging: from establishing walkie talkie protocols, to sewing trout hats, to making road safety plans, to serving drinks at the after party.

“The River Clyde Pageant is a spectacular outdoor performance in New Glasgow, Prince Edward Island, that unites community members, professional and emerging artists in its creation and presentation. Each summer’s Pageant features giant puppets, stilt-walkers, musicians and performers of all ages. The Pageant celebrates a vital Island community and the river that has defined and sustained it for over 200 years; promoting values of environmental stewardship, civic practice, and artistic bravery.”

Brief Encounters

(Lighting Design & Technical Direction)

'Brief Encounters' is an interdisciplinary event that pairs twelve unique artists into six duets and gives them two weeks to create a short work. The event is produced by the Tomorrow Collective. These pictures were taken at several events between 2009-2011 at Performance Works in Vancouver, BC.
